Large Restaurant Chain – White Spot

Background

A typical large restaurant chain (In this case White Spot) wanted to understand their hot water use. We installed Pulse on the hot water system at 5 locations

Measurements:

We then analyzed this data and compared the hot water usage patterns to those observed at similar locations. This allowed us to identify any anomalies, benchmark efficiency, and gain a clearer understanding of how water consumption at this site measured up against industry norms.

Analysis:

The pulse monitoring device gathered the following data:

  • High and low demand times
  • Daily, weekly and monthly usage
  • Cost

Outcomes/Conclusion

Upon inspection, technicians discovered the outdoor coil was plugged. After pressure washing the coil, the average current draw dropped to 13.94 amps, consistent with the expected baseline.
